My first experience with this institution and I’m overly impressed with the personalization and caring of the providers. My appointment for specialized testing was not only kept on time but the individuals responsible for registration welcomed me and escorted me to the proper area. The care was compassionate and reassuring. Totally unexpected for an institution the size of Montefiore. A very welcome experience in today’s world of impersonal healthcare.

The only thing I have to say is during this pandemic. If they give you an appointment time to be there for then they should process you and have you do labs immediately and have you see your doctor right away. There shouldn't be a lag in time between check-in and exiting. With people having compromise immune systems patients should not be waiting around in a place where others are sitting to be seen. Doctor's need to speed through their patients a bit faster and get their patients out of the clinic as quickly as possible so as not to expose their patients to potential infection. All waiting room cubicles should be completely covered by plexiglass with no gaps for peoples spittle to get through and harm either the workers or the patients both. Keep staff far apart from each other. I've seen as many as 4 staffers at a time congregate in the cubicles to discuss cases at a time. They should speak to each other from behind the plexiglass shields not inside the reception space. For their own well-being it's good practice. The whole clinic is neat, clean and tidy and cleaning staff stays in top of keeping things clean. The only other issue is the restrooms near the phlebotomy blood drawing room need constant mopping because patients have a tendency to miss the toilets when urinating to give samples.
